For those who make their work at home but do not have a kiln (ceramic oven), I offer a firing service. Items can be dropped off on appointment, pick up is after 2-3 weeks. I do my best to work precisely and carefully with all the work in my studio however I cannot take any responsibility for any accidents that happen, that is the nature of ceramics.

Please consult with me before buying any clay or glazes. All glazes have to be tested on a test tile to check for compatibility and running issues. If any problems occur in the kiln or running on the kiln shelves because of incorrect information or use of clay or glazes, then I will need to charge replacements costs (a kiln shelf is €30) or reparation costs.

Maximum size is 28cm tall and 30cm diameter dus to the size of my kiln. For pieces this large, an extra tariff may be calculated due to the inefficient use of the kiln. If you have questions about a piece you want to make, please contact Tessa.

I only fire Stoneware clay and glazes in my studio. If you do not know what this means, please first do some research to understand the differences between earthenware and stoneware.

Price: €10 per kilogram per firing.

Bisque firing: 1000 degrees Celsius

Glaze firing: 1240 degrees Celsius
